What an interesting parallel between this chapter and the previous one! A spicy dish and a sweet one - the first one turns into a happy experience while the second leaves Lois with a much more bitter taste. I wonder if Clark meant anything more with that choice of dessert, or if there's some hidden symbolism there confused I haven't reached any conclusions yet.

It's funny that Lois was trying to punish Clark by turning him into her personal food delivery guy, but Clark didn't seem to see it as a punishment at all. Of course, that only frustrates her even more lol

I liked her conversation with Superman. I think she understands a little better now how heavy the burden of his secret really is, and why it wasn't something she was entitled to know. At the same time, of course, that doesn't make her confusion and hurt any less valid. In the end, I understand why she doesn't tell Clark, even though I wish she would. One of them has to take the first step eventually, and right now I think Clark is absolutely terrified...

She didn’t want to miss someone that couldn’t be honest with her.

Great line.

Thanks for sharing.

Stories are written by the victors.
(Hmm, come to think of it, that's not the exact quote...)
