I'm not shy about guessing. I think that this head injury pushed altered Lois out of Lois' head and popped her memory back to the unaltered timestream at a point three years earlier. She's behaving as if she'd been swapped from the original timestream from three years back - probably because of something either Herb or Tempus did - and now she's not the Lois who fell in love with Clark and had to be restrained from ravishing him from the time she knew what ravishing was until they got married in the altered timestream.

The fact that she doesn't remember anything about Clark before she burst into his interview is a big tipoff. She hasn't lost her memory of the last three years because she hasn't lived it yet, nor did this Lois live through the youthful relationship with Clark. That's why she doesn't remember the Pulitzer or the photos of her and Clark from many years earlier. I'd bet she remembers her original prom night (which I don't at the moment). And I can't come up with a way to fix this conundrum, so that makes you smarter than me. (Assuming, of course, that you do fix it.)

How'd I do, boss? Do I get to read the next chapter? Is it up yet?
