Wow, thank you to everyone for such an amazing Kerth season on our 25th anniversary of holding the awards! It’s truly something special in fandom to have been going for this long, so thank you to everyone, new and old, who has participated throughout the years and made this the phenomenal fandom that it is!
First, a short note on the tech end of things:
Our website kerthawards.com is going to be moving to a new home during the first week of May. While we will try to keep the move interruption free, it’s the first move done in years. This means it is possible that the Kerth website might be unreachable for a day or so until the Internet name system catches up with the new address. So, if you notice anything, please don’t panic, it’s all part of a scheduled maintenance operation.
This year was quite amusingly, The Year of the Tie… (as we affectionately named it in the #kerthchat
) The competition was fierce this year, so it’s no wonder that we had FOUR ties! I wonder what next year will bring!

FanartHuge thank you to KathyB for MCing the event and for amusing us with old commercials from ceremonies past! Thank you, thank you to the rest of the K-Comm for an amazing job! Especially Michael, who worked tirelessly to make things smooth and automated this year so that next year, it’ll be a breeze behind the scenes! If everything ran smoothly this year (and I think it mostly did??) it’s surely because of Michael!
And the ceremony would not have been near as fun without our volunteers who worked hard to come up with entertaining and/or heartfelt presentation speeches! Thank you so much!! Thank you to Doranwen for finding the right IRC server and for making it easier for everyone to get no, not to mention taking care of the voicing ops during the ceremony!!
Another thank you to Carrie Rene, who created banners for everything… which we’ll have posted in due course!
