Well, wow! Thanks so much for the feedback. This is kind of what I needed at this point in the story - something to kick-start my muse square in the butt. Now I have not only a reason to finish but a whole posse of people who will remind me when I haven't!
Have to say that sometimes I do frighten myself with what comes out of my head in regards to forcing our favorite characters down the road of pain and suffering. I always thought that Stephen King must be a scary man to know. And while I'm not even on the same planet as he is creatively, at least now I can sympathize with him a bit - he's not really an ax murderer. He just likes to pretend to be one on paper.
