Wow. What a way to start a story!

My first thought when I found out what Supes had 'done' was that it was a trick somehow - that they'd thrown her body in there and that he hadn't actually killed her. Blood on the hands doesn't necessarily mean he killed her.

The pain in his hips is interesting. Is it because he just hadn't moved in so long or that there's something wrong with them?

Did Henderson find Lois? Or a clone? Who was dead at Clark's feet? Where are his powers? Why didn't Bobby call Clark too? Didn't want to get his hopes up or did he not know exactly what Henderson would find?

So... Part 2 will be up when exactly?

I've seen a bit more, but you'd better bet I want MORE, and SOON!!

Nice start. So I'm going to assume that Clark did not kill anyone but was setup. The Green & RedK messed him up and they used something (Holograms?) to make him think he'd killed someone and they dumped a dead body on him.

So what have they done to Lois?

Yipes.

A confused and muddled heap is our Clark. A damaged and possibly unhinged remnant is our Lois. And he thinks he killed her? And now the powers have left him?

I wonder how much of that is the result of the Kryptonite exposure and how much is psychosomatic. Because he blames himself for Lois's death, and specifically he blames the use of his powers, he's not allowed to use them because he's been a bad boy with them. I wonder how long it will be before Henderson gets word to Clark - no, wait, Lois won't want him to tell Clark because of something that happened to her while she was "away." And she won't share that with anyone, either, maybe because she doesn't quite know herself what was done to her.

Am I close? Doesn't matter. This is going to be a very interesting trip, especially since not all is what it seems. Dum da dum dum daaaaaa!

And I have to agree with you on the mastery -- cause one second I get a buzz on MSN saying "do you think this is a good idea" and an hour later, she sends me just about the entire chapter. I wish I could work like that. OMG, do I wish!

This is just so amazingly full of angst and is written so, so well. I totally bow to you, Brucie. And I cannot *wait* to see the next parts!

I suppose your muse works a little different than most. Doesn't it? (I must confess that I can be a tad sadistic in my writing, too, though. For one thing, I've written a few TEs in my day.

Stole a few minutes that I definitely didn't have to spare just to read this. My first thought was that even if Superman was out of his mind, he would go to her if he could. If she were already bleeding then her blood would be on his hands.

His depression is so deep it's a tangible force in that house. So telling that he even needs help to open the PB.
