Just when I was about to go off and be a good girl and try and get some "work" accomplished, I see another story posted. smile So let me start this off and go enjoy myself a little bit longer...

Just lovely, Wendy. The promise of a New Year, fresh with no mistakes in it yet, and the ever-growing relationship between Lois and Clark. I really like how Lois, despite the fact that she's still starry-eyed over Superman, isn't running away screaming from expressing her growing feelings for Clark. Yes, all she's admitting to is friendship, and during first season she certainly referred to him as her best friend, but here she's softer and appears to be closer to the right path...

After all, without it he might be in danger of forgetting who he was when around her - and he might do something idiotic, such as behaving like Clark when dressed as Superman, or vice versa.
Gee, ya think? Maybe someone could write a story where he does something like that... goofy

To echo Breanna: Oh, Wendy!

This is just... wow jawdrop I absolutely love it, from beginning to end - good grief! Another story from you with only a bare scraping of angst??? eek

I love the idea of Clark - or 'Superman' - flying her back to 1993 to ring in the New Year, just because she asked nicely. Heck, just because she *hinted*! laugh If only everybody could do that...

Wonderful! The perfect way to end 2003! smile

What a sweet fic. I'm such a sap; I really did almost shed a tear during that part.
Great job, and Happy New Years!

Aww, Wendy, this is so sweet! I love it. I want to say so many good things, but I've turned to mush. The whole thing is sweet, and I especially love the ending. Very wonderful!

Very sweet, Wendy. It's nice that Lois wanted to spend New Year's Eve with Clark and waited for him to get home. Glad Clark remembered that book he just had to bring! It resulted in some nice conversations and kissing. smile I do hope Clark plans on telling the truth about his alter ego to Lois soon... he's headed for a very nice new year otherwise. Don't let him spoil it with that minor thing. wink

And, Wendy, it's time you get back to writing angst and whams. goofy

What a nice New Year's story! After all the Christmas ones, I figured the boards would be quiet this week so it's a special treat to come back from visiting my family to find so many sweet stories. smile

Very nice, Wendy ... Lois isn't as tough as she tried to make him think she was, and I'm glad Clark made the offer to fly her to Smallville with him. I was worried at first that it was going to be an early revelation story then was pleased at his cover story -- it's too early for full disclosure, even if it is New Year's Eve. goofy

Of course, if they keep moving on this path, he'll have to tell her pretty soon anyway -- and she'll be sure to tease him mercilessly about his talking to himself, LOL! -- but I have no doubt that this L&C will come through it just fine.

Thanks for sharing this!

Awww. This was so nice, Wendy. smile A great testimony of their friendship turning into more; I love the hopeful note at the end: they're not rushing into anything, but they are going to go out on a date, yay. smile

Thanks for sharing. It's lovely! And Happy New Year! party

- I'm your partner. I'm your friend.
- Is that what we are?
- Oh, you know what? I don't know what we are. We kiss and then we never talk about it. We nearly die frozen in each other's arms, but we never talk about it, so no, I got no clue what we are.

Clark: Lois, you're kinda babbling.
Lois: I know. See, I never babble.
Clark: Are you kidding? You're a brook.
