Jenni's birthday was yesterday, but these past two weeks have been so hectic, I didn't have time to finish and post this until tonight. It hasn't been beta'd, so all mistakes are mine.

Hi Laura,

Thank you very much for my present. It was very sweet.

And I'm glad you got heather in there because heather is very much a part of Scotland -- just like me! wink

Awwwwwwww - cute and sweet, Laura. I was keen to read it as I enjoyed your other two 'rose' vignettes and I wasn't disappointed with this one. The language of flowers theme is a cute idea.

Thanks for sharing this little piece of waffiness with us.

And happy (belated) birthday, Jenni!

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Laura,

Yes, very sweet.

And I really liked the idea that Lois, no matter how much she could babble, or use her verbal acuity to talk people into anything or figure anything out -- couldn't use that ability when it came to something so wonderful as this.

Beautiful and sweet, Laura. I like the language of flowers you've used. And it's a great addition to the rose series.

My thanks for your kind comments on this little bit of fluff. The first chapter of Innocence Lost, the sequel to Little Girl Lost, will be coming to a board near you rather soon... and happy birthday to Jenni--my best friend, and one of the best beta readers that one could wish for.
