I'm sure this idea has been done before (if anyone knows some classic examples, I'd love to read them). But Lois and Clark would be on stakeouts, she'd stay at his place, etc... surely at some point she might have accidentally caught him floating?? laugh

Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way. wink

Hi Mozartmaid,

This looks like another really terrific story! I enjoyed the first part and hope that the remaining three will be posted soon.

One story I know of that has the revelation come because of Clark's sleep-floating is the excellent Dawning series by Debbie Stark. A warning though: It is a very long, very enjoyable, and very UNfinished series. The revelation happens in the first part.

Joy,
Lynn

OK, always a tough one to explain.

Weird thought - Has anyone ever written a story where someone sees that and assumes he's possessed as in e.g, Ghostbusters?

I think (but I'm not sure, not having read the story lately) Darth Michael's excellent "Don\'t You Dare" has the revelation happen that way. Advisory: it's steamy hot nfic.

And I think Carol M's fine "It\'s A Big Bed" has the same thing.

Note how both these "Lois sees Clark floating while he's asleep" stories are based on "Honeymoon In Metropolis". That would seem to be a natural correlation of the dialogue: "It's a big bed." "We could share."

I'm interested to see what you'll do with this different episode. Clark floating in his sleep is something which can't be explained any other way except by understanding that he is Superman. Although I'd like to see him use Marcus's suggestion and try to tell Lois that like the people in "Ghostbusters", he's possessed. But I think she wouldn't buy that. wink

LOIS:I don't like you.
MAYSON: Really? Oh god, that is such a relief - I don't like you either.
LOIS: That makes me feel so much better
