Thanks, Marcus, for poking the muse. I'm sure that, given more than twenty minutes, we could have had some fun on the fanfic related board coming up with creative curses. smile

Nice. I can also check off an idea from 2004 on my fic ideas list, "someone recognizes the takeout Clark brings as being from overseas". Bobby is the right person and I hadn't realized it.

A great vignette! I think it's harder to write short than it is to write long. But you pulled it off - short, sweet, and to the point!

Excellent idea, and thanks for taking up my challenge. Bobby Bigmouth is indeed the perfect character to spot Clark that way.

Oh, I like it! thumbsup

You write Bobby really well ... love the breezy tone of his voice, with the undercurrent of hyperactivity that is just him. Nicely done!

Well done, HG. I giggled several times, especially at the thought of Bobby holding on to this secret so that he could spring it on Lois someday. Oh well, he had to imagine her reaction with the rest of us.

Very cute response to the challenge. clap

I love Bobby, and I love this! I have long wondered when/how Bobby would figure out the secret. This was great!

Bobby is almost as good of a character as Martha. His conversational tone is wonderfully written, almost as if you are transcribing thoughts. Well done.

Yeah, what they said... this was great fun. Interesting point about the cooking school curse, too... love how he was planning to spring it on Lois someday, but gave that up when Clark needed him. He's a good guy. And you're a good writer!

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."
