I like Lois where she can see that a relationship with Lex is just not her. In some ways that lack of self-understanding on Lois's part is a bigger problem with this period of the series than Lois not seeing that Lex was deceiving her. She is a strong minded and capable person that has a good sense of her own identity. I can NEVER get used to the idea that she wanted that kind of life. You nailed it right here: And I'm not sure it would work out anyway - can you see me as a billionaire's trophy wife?" So, as much as I enjoy the WAFFyness, I like your "somewhat smarter" (or at least more self-aware) Lois even more. Bob

I don't know that I've ever ended a story evilly! And since this was a one shot, it won't end evilly right? Kathryn - thank you! Lara - so glad you liked it! Thought of you while mentioning Bruce Wayne of course! [I always think of you when I hear anything about Gotham or Batman or whenever I see the Batman Mii on the Wii...] AnKS - thanks! Laura - thanks! But then we wouldn't have had the ARGH. cp33 - thank you! Ann - now all of S1, 2, 3 wasn't *bad*. Think of the possibilities of... Oh wait, they already had HiM. But I do have great fun planned for that in another fic soon . Bob - yeah, that's my thinking too. Sure it's nice to get all dressed up once in a while, but the reality is most of us don't really want that life [unless the partner in that life also likes the jeans and pizza nights too - best of both worlds].
