I like how you hinted about bad things in Jimmy's past ("mortgage the whole planet") while not giving an incredibly full explanation. There's just enough to titillate there! And who is the mysterious owner of the mortgage, who has given Jimmy the job? Who is pulling Jimmy's strings? (It doesn't really matter for this fic - in fact, it would mess up the sheer fun of this fic - but now you've got me wondering about backstory!) And, in another "Aha!" moment, I just realized that's another reason why Jimmy Olsen is "Superman's Pal"! They are aliens together on Earth! Shared exile and all that.... Does Jimmy have powers other than the computer/math whiz stuff? And, more importantly, has he figured out that CK=S? I'm assuming not.
