I just adore this segment, Taivas. From the now trademark witty and natural dialogue to the heart-in-my-mouth attempts on Clark's and Lois' lives, Clark's attempts to ensure that his two personas didn't overlap...and all the bits in between. <g>

The transition from Lois being brave to breaking down was beautifully done - very natural. And Clark's comforting of her had me snuffling into my kleenex. And...whoo boy...that moment of connection at the end there.... Wow.

I love these characters you've created...Henderson is a blast and your Lois and Clark just spark and sizzle off the screen as I read.

Superb! clap clap

Clark will just be Lois' good friend, yeah, that's it. Just friends. Sure he will.

Good instalment. Nice natural feel to the banter between them.

Poor Henderson, what he has to put up with.

And Henderson is great. thumbsup

Excellent section, Taivas! This is shaping up to be a really enjoyable and very original alt-universe. goofy

The faint echoing of that scene in the later part where Clark comforts Lois too, and then later again as they follow Henderson, is very nicely done - very subtle, very clever. smile

More!!!!

Thank you all for you comments, it helps to hear if I'm hitting the mark with the story. I'll try to keep a better schedule from now on, barring accidents with my house plumbing.

And I heap many praises on my beta reader, Labrat, who helps me out tremendously.

Sincerely,
Taivas

Awwwwwww, thank you, Taivas. But when you're working with gold it doesn't take much in the way of hard work to give it a quick polish. wink
