My mom laughed at me as nervous as I was to post the story. There may be more coming from me soon, it depends on how demanding my summer classes become.

But seriously, thanks for reading, guys. Comments? Constructive criticism?

That's very insightful: Clark is a role, too.

Well done, Samik! Would I be correct when I assume this is only your 2nd story, and that your first story was only 55 words long? (No, I don't have the archive memorized; I checked.)

This is excellent, and very sweet.

Irene

Very cute -- and a very sweet message laugh . And you're right about Ace Ventura -- I loved it when I was like in eighth grade ... but not so much when I saw it the second time and now I hate it wink .

ps. My mom has no idea that I write wink . She used to know a long time ago, but made fun of me about it so much that I just told her i stopped.

Waiting for more soon!!
Don't let your summer classes become very demanding (it's summer, for crying out loud!!).

Very nice, very believable scene. You captured a great deal of the emotions that I think would have been there. I think that I prefer the way that your Lois found out to the way that the show did it.

And I am glad that your mom supports your writing.. mine supports mine in her own way.. she asks for stories to order <g> and generally on topics that I don't care anything about.

Lois: Can I go?
Clark: No.
Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go.
Clark: Then why do you ask?
Lois: I’m trying to be nice.

A cute and WAFFy revelation story, very nicely done too. Thank you for sharing.

And my mom laughed at me too before I posted the first part of After Midnight. I was probably as nervous as you were. <g>

Wonderful piece, samik!

I like the way you let them have a revelation without the additional conflict potential of having admitted their love / of being already in a relationship.

I think things would have gone completely differently in the show if 'the secret' had been revealed at a point where the two of them were 'only' best friends.

I loved your story and await hopefully other works of yours.

Very cute and sweet, Samik goofy Every author I know has butterflies in the stomach, sweating palms, and a very bad feeling that they're about to do something very dumb when they hit that post button on a new story! wink

Which isn't to say you shouldn't do it anyway. laugh

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Very nice.

I also liked the line about getting to know Clark.

And Labby is right -- the butterflies don't go away because we all care so much and want others to care about what we do as well.

So just keep writing and keep posting and get used to the butterflies.

A very enjoyable and satisfying revelation story, Samik. Having Lois overhear Clark's muttering about himself is a good way to let her hear what she needed to while she was having her one-way "conversation", and it gives her time to cool down and be ready to listen to Clark.
