Nan, That was amazing! When I read that you thought only a couple more parts I thought, how can she tie this together so fast? I am just amazed how much happened in this part and how fast it all happened. “I hope that whole bunch of whackos gets sent to the lunar mines. It can’t help but raise the general IQ of the planet.” I just love that statement Sue

WOW!!! Today's better than the other day but HOME always makes it even better . YAY!!! Lori is safe, surely they have really good epidurals a 100 years in the future [or would a Kryptonian baby negate that somehow?], Clark and Rhonda are with her. Ralph, er, what's his reincarnation's name?, is caught and scared to death of Clark [as he should be]. We have a couple new superheroes mentioned in passing [I think - I can't keep up with all of them and I haven't checked the family tree ]. Life is good. Except that this part, as always, is too short . More soon please!!! Carol

Ooooh They're gonna tell Marilyn the full truth about their son in law!!!! I'm so glad about this. It's going to change the family dynamic a bit, which is just fine. Just think- they can hear all about grandma Lucy from Clark! Terrific! Loved the exchange between Lori and Clark-" You came?" "Always." So sweet. And love is in the air for our police officer heroine. This is such a fast paced wonderful part. Fred sure got his due! What a nice perk to brighten a crummy day! Jackie

Oh, this part's full of all sorts of goodness Brave Lori, Angry!Clark, scaredy-cat ratfink Fred, and romance for Velma! And a new baby Kent on the way... I do wonder how much Clark will tell Rob & Mariann. Will he clarify his exact spot in the family tree? (Which Marcy already knows, I think) Will he explain genetics and the law of diminishing returns? Will he just say that the family has *really* gotten fond of Lori? More importantly -- do *we* get to see him tell them... whatever? As always... I want more! PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

Knowing Clark he won't lie about this - they'll want answers, and sooner or later he'll give them. Whether Lori's parents will be happy about her husband being so much older is another matter...

Pam - I think if Nan doesn't show us him telling Lori's folks - we should go tie her to her chair and stand there with K's disembowling shears until she writes it [is that the right smilie for that?] Yes, Marci does know - I remember before the wedding they were talking about how not only would Marci have a new brother-in-law [Clark] but also a new grandma [great-grandma?]-in-law [Lori]. It got them giggling and over the butterflies iirc. I also meant to mention that in my comments earlier and on Velma and... Oliver [sheesh - I'm having such a hard time keeping everyone straight - it's the pregnancy hormones - honest!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!]

Fred's face had assumed the color of chalk and Velma lifted an eyebrow when she noted the damp stain spreading down the legs of his jeans. LOL!! “I know,” Marilyn said. “You’ll have to ask Clark and Lori about it. It’s not our place to give out that kind of personal information.”
Rob and Mariann looked at each other. “Does it have something to do with her baby?” Mariann asked.
“Partly,” Marilyn said. “Ask them.” Ooh... Are Rob and Mariann going to find out that Clark is the original Superman? Great part, Nan!

Oh thank goodness she is safe!! This was a really good chapter. "I guess the bomb shelters aren't as soundproof as they're supposed to be," Velma said dryly.
"Not for us," Superwoman said.

"Pete," Velma said casually, "please escort Mr. Kent and Mr. Harkin to Conference Room Three. Be sure to lock the door behind you." LOL! Fred is going to soil his britches. :p Great chapter!

Nan, Loved this latest chapter. Lori is fantastic - using classic Lois Lane behavior as she breaks out of the shelter and sneaks to the roof where Rhonda could find her.
I sure hope that the family secret isn't exposed due to the frantic efforts of all the supermen. Will someone figure out Lori's significance to the superhero swarming and put them together?
Please come back soon with the birth of new baby Kent. BJ
