So…hypothetically speaking… what if there were people out there around the time of Season 2 who were on Superman fan boards posting gossip and paparazzi photos and maybe fanfic about him and a certain reporter who may or may not be his girlfriend?

And …theoretically… what if there were people on those same message boards who thought those people were crazy because clearly that reporter is secretly dating/should be dating her partner, who is also friends with Superman.

Just for giggles…what might those two factions call themselves? What might the shipper tags be for Lois and Clark vs Lois and Superman.

We are looking for something a little different. Something funny. Not something like Clois, which is used in real life fandoms.

We are very curious to see what you all come up with

Ps — Before anyone gets their pitchforks out, chapter one ofstory number two in the series, The Magic of Love, will be posted tomorrow morning.

Just to show you what our brainstorming looked like, my first suggestion was Team Superhero and Team Hot Reporter. But then we wondered if, fandom being what it is, people might include Lois to give the pairs an actual ship name. So what might the internet-savvy denizens of Metropolis, c. 1995, dub the ships?? We can't wait to see your ideas!

Team CK and Team Supes!

Or CLois (with the double capitals) and Suis.

Or, with woman first, Lork vs. Loupes!

As for the other ship, maybe something like Newspaperman?

I really like Queenie's Planet-ary vs. Inter-Planetary. A variant on that would be Home Team vs. Away Team.

Another couple of possibilities would be Hotties (for "The Hottest Team in Town") vs. Steelies (for "The Man of Steel").

This is a fun thread. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

Hrm, fun idea. For Lois and Superman, what about Suporters? (As a mix of Superman and Reporter) Or PLanes?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the former could also be used for those who want to ship all three of them together...

I'm loving all these suggestions! I'm not sure when the story will get written, but we've had a ball brainstorming it, and these ideas may give us the motivation we need to dive in! (Though we really should be writing the final part of WTHW ... umm. )
