Stardust by Caroline K and got to wondering
What if Clark didn’t stay but kept the idea of the costume and Superman simply stayed away from the USA, indeed mostly did things in 3rd world areas.
When the 1989 earthquake happened in San Francisco there wasn’t a massive death toll. A similar earthquake happened somewhere else and there was a massive death toll because building codes where not as good as in San Francisco. So Clark could do much more good.
So a tale of Lois Lane tracking down Superman?
