So the Kerth Awards Ceremony got me thinking... I don’t recall seeing Kerths mentioned in anything Superman-related (comics, movies, etc,) other than in Lois & Clark. Are they unique to the show? Is there a behind-the-scenes significance to the name of the awards? For example, was it the last name of a gaffer or the maybe name of the author’s dog? Inquiring minds was to know...(A quick Google search did not turn up anything useful.)
