One of the most disparaged parts of Superman lore says that his disguise would never be effective in real life.

Some time back, Henry Cavill walked in Times Square in a Superman t-shirt near a huge poster of him as Superman and nobody recognized him.

One might argue that that wasn’t a good test since there is so much happening in Times Square and since New Yorkers are famous for minding their own business. But could you really fool people in the media? People whose job it is to notice things and to pay attention to others? And in a setting with far fewer distractions? Especially up close, with someone the media folks are very familiar with? Apparently so, as First Lady Jill Biden proved yesterday.
