Lex Luthor, being the entrepreneur that he is, has a line of hair care products. They sell very well, at least at first. Turns out it's a bunk product, maybe even a front for a pyramid scheme. Maybe a bankrupt Clark Kent comes to Metropolis to expose Lex Hair Care?

At the climax of the story, Lex proclaims that his products are the best in the world; he uses them everyday for his luscious locks (lots of emphasis on the fact that he has the best hair out of anyone in the story). Then, in a very dramatic fashion, his wig is torn off!

It could all be an alternate explanation for how Lex loses his hair wink

You can even fit in Maxwell Lord, from Wonder Woman 84 as Lex's main salesman. "Your hair is good, but it can be better!" rotflol

Bitten that is a perfect explanation for why Lex lost his hair! Laughing like crazy!

Thanks, Morgana! grin

Deadly Chakram, Max Lord will definitely be at the top of the pyramid. He's the best salesman for this product—a green and glowy product.

Making green kryptonite one of the ingredients probably helps with the jump from Best Product Ever! to Where Is All My Hair? (see 90s comics Lex and his Australian-accented clone—or don't). It wouldn't exactly backup the idea that Clark has fallen victim to this nonsense, but he could still be a major player if his parents were the ones swindled.
