Adoption law is insane. That judge is willing to traumatize Rachel all over again, just because of a few strands of DNA? At the very least, she ought to have been allowed to get to know the man, first! mad

Post the next part soon, Laura. wildguy

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Clark leaned over and stole a quick kiss from Lois as they watched Rachel get acquainted with both sets of grandparents. "They're spoiling her rotten," Clark observed as Lois leaned back against him.

"I know," she agreed, "I'm a bit surprised--my mother hasn't been all that supportive about this, but she's right in there with a Madam Alexander doll for Rachel."

Do you have a more stable posting schedule now or is it still going to be erratic? Just curious..

We only have two chapters left to go. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately <g> the chapters keep getting longer. Chapter 6 was 28 pages long, and Chapter 7 before my beta readers saw it, was 30. I don't know how long the final chapter will be because it's barey begun. I think that the story will be finished by July...
