I never thought of Superman's effect on journalism quite that way before - it's a good point.

Hurray! I love this series. And I can't wait to see what Lois does to Nunk!

Great start! I love that Lois is helping Clark reclaim his identity as a journalist Good bye, competition! Susan (who hopes that Ralph really does get fired!)

Yay, more of this universe I have to wonder how this Charlie King idea is going to work out, long-term... as a disguise for dates it's a fabulous idea, but for work it seems a great deal more complicated. But I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it, whatever you choose to do <g> and lol at Bobby having an answering service! PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

This was amusing to read in some parts--and very interesting all the way through! I love what you've done with this world and can't wait to read more. ;D

I love this series as well. Each installment gets better as the story builds. But I have to ask, when's the next part coming??? I want to know how Lois handles the Nunk situation! She can get brutal when she has to. ~Kristen
Joey: If he doesn't like you, then this is all just a moo point. Rachel: A moo point? Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion, you know, it just doesn't matter. It's "moo." Rachel: Have I been living with him for too long, or did that all just make sense?

I'll post part 2 later in the week. I'm on my third day of the stomach flu and not feeling very creative right now.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'll get back to the story when I can think straight again.

Take your time and feel better. The stomach flu sucks! Fanfic inspired by something like that would be interesting, but we can wait for the good stuff. Get well soon! ~Kristen

Hello, hello! I'm finally back up and running, after my hard drive crash.
Life has been pretty hectic for the last few weeks, since I first came down with the stomach flu, and then lost my C-drive to a crash. Fortunately, I had some warning that something might happen, and backed up my important folders to my secondary drive 2 days before the primary drive went flooey. My hubby, my daughter, and I have been working to get things back up and running. I loaded Word in night before last, and I've actually been able to work on part 2 of First Case since yesterday. I'm almost done with it, and should have it ready in a few days, assuming that nothing else happens to take my attention away from the story. <g>

Hi, Great start. Lets get Nunk. "Perfect." Lois said. "And as for your giving up being an investigative reporter, forget it. We're going to fix that, starting today. Just remember; you're Charlie King this afternoon. Clark Kent is just helping me get back up to speed, but to anyone we talk to, Charlie is my protege. Or he will be."
"You think they won't know who I am?"
"Not if we do it right. Now, let's go get Bobby his salary and see what he has to say." By now Bobby already know about Charlie King. More ASAP, please. MAF
