So sweet. Awwwwww. I love the game and all the little hand signals. Pssst: You forgot your blue arrow indicator of a new story. I don't want it to get lost in the crowd.

The year moved along, and soon it was fall. "Kiss Me Quick" fell from the top ten, the air got colder, and the days shorter.
It had been a long day. She hadn't seen him since breakfast and she missed him. She picked up her phone.
It had been a long day. He hadn't seen her since breakfast and he missed her. He picked up his phone.
Their phones chimed at the same time. Each looked down and smiled at what they saw: "KMQ". Now that's a lovely way to end the day even if they cannot see each other. Thank for the smile!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Thank you, VirginaR. Glad you enjoyed the story, and thanks for the tip about the blue arrow, too. I thought that was just for stories that were multi-part.

Awwww! So glad somebody took the waffy approach to the prompt, very sweet. I like how they made it a "game within a game" and had some fun with it! Good job!

I love it! If it weren't for the clue that he could hear the song on the radio when no one else could, this could be any couple. This whole thread started as a list of Elvis song titles, so I wondered for a minute if it was Perry and Alice or Jonathan and Martha, but that wouldn't fit the other clues. And the last bit was just right. Thank you for sharing it with us!
This *is* my happily ever after.

I wasn't back on the boards yet when the Elvis song titles thread started, so I didn't know that folcs might think the characters were anyone but L&C. It's kind of cool, though, when you think about it, isn't it! Perry and Alice, or Martha and Jonathan ... they are devoted couples too. I could definitely see either one playing the kissing game. :-) Thank you for the nice feedback.

Awww . This was such a sweet, WAFFy story. Completely wonderful. I loved the added details--the crossed fingers that stood for an 'X', the song heard down the street and a kiss blown to a cheek. They will now, always, have this as 'their song'... Thanks Laura
