We were driving into Yuma Arizona on US 95 which travels through many rich fields of produce. There was a sign "Martha's Garden" followed by an arrow and a sign "Tours Here."
This gave me the thought that what would happen if Clark's ship had *not* landed in Shuster's field, but in a more urban area, say Wichita, KS. So he gets raised as an orphan there and somehow travels to Smallville, sees the sign, goes on a tour and meets Martha and Jonathan.
Anyone up for the challenge? I don't have time, but may think about it more in the future.
