This little bit of fluff came to me as I was awakening this morning. I hope you find it as amusing to read as I did to dream up.
As always, all feedback greatly appreciated.

Adorable! Loved the "on-again, off-again relationship with gravity" And I laughed out loud at the strategically-placed schoolbooks! I can picture Clark giving this exact talk to his kids when their powers develop. Lovely job!

I wonder if he was as nervous with *this* talk as he was when he first had to talk about them there schoolbooks. I'm glad he mentioned how hard it would be to hide this ability from others. At first, I thought Clark was talking to Lois during her UW trial, but soon it became apparent that it was Clark's son. (Us girls don't have the same problem with schoolbooks.) Fun train of thought story, Lynn.

Very sweet and thoughtful, just like Clark. Loved the imagery of the "on again, off again relationship" with gravity. Great job!

Awwww! Lynn--this was great . I could just picture Clark speaking...warmly, lovingly, to his child. Very heart-warming. Thanks for posting--a lovely way to end the night . Laura

"Where's Clark?" "Right here."

In complete agreement with all of the above. Even though he couldn't fly himself, Grandpa helped me to learn to control my flying. He and I will help you, too. And don't worry too much that you can't control your flight path yet. That will come with practice. If you ask Grandpa about how poor a navigator I was when I was first learning… Well, he'll tell you that it could never be said that I couldn't hit the side of a barn. Poor Bessie and Bluebell experienced quite a shock that night; fortunately, neither was hurt, and I repaired the barn at superspeed. How kind to mention that Jonathan had a big hand in helping him learn the rudiments of flying, even if he could not do so himself. Poor Bessie and Bluebell! Did it take awhile for them to give milk again? Thanks for this lovely little short!

Hello all, Monica and DC, that on-again, off-again relationship with gravity was one of my favourite lines. Thank you both for singling it out. Morgana, the Bessie and Bluebell line was another, and ditto. Virginia, "them there schoolbooks" had to be worked into a story called "The Talk" somehow. Queenie, glad you enjoyed the story. Consider it a small return payment for all of the pleasure I have taken from your writings. Laura, I always love reading your feedback, whether it is for a story I have posted or for someone else's. Your comments are always so encouraging. Groobie, thank you for the feedback. It made my day. Joy, Lynn

Hi Lynn! The Talk, Kryptonian Style(1/1)* Clark explaining to CJ why he feels all hot and transparent next to the girls’ locker room? (*Not THAT talk -- this is a g-fic story, after all. The other talk.) Oh. Oops? So you now float. In the air. Like me. It's time we had a talk. Oh, look. Next gen after all. There's nothing like releasing yourself from gravity, is there? So, That honeymoon feeling with Lois clocks in second place? CLARK: and, with a good lungful of air -- even out of this world -- in the space of a few seconds -- well, it's enough to make one giddy. Yes, I’ve heard that lack of oxygen can cause this just before things get dire. there's no rational explanation you could provide other than the truth. What about micro-singularities? And that will happen. I remember when I first started having an on-again, off-again relationship with gravity. Just like he had with Lana? Only with us, here, we have to worry about more than making sure our schoolbooks are strategically placed. Yeah, I know you don't want to think about your Pa in that way. CJ: *Think?* I’ve got super hearing, x-ray vision, and folks who are ‘very much in love’. I’d love to just have to *think* about them that way. Well, he'll tell you that it could never be said that I couldn't hit the side of a barn. Like one of those bouncy rockets from crazy-toons comics? Cute one! Michael

Hi Lynn! The Talk, Kryptonian Style(1/1)* Clark explaining to CJ why he feels all hot and transparent next to the girls’ locker room? I'd have wondered if you were feeling all right if you didn't go there; hence: (*Not THAT talk -- this is a g-fic story, after all. The other talk.) Oh. Oops? I suspect you had a lot of company this time. So you now float. In the air. Like me. It's time we had a talk. Oh, look. Next gen after all. Give the man a kewpie! There's nothing like releasing yourself from gravity, is there? So, That honeymoon feeling with Lois clocks in second place? CLARK: There's nothing that says that Clark can't have both at once... I seem to recall a certain after glow scene of them on the ceiling... there's no rational explanation you could provide other than the truth. What about micro-singularities? Or perhaps the polarity of the neutron flow has been reversed? Or he was testing some anti-grav boots Dr. Klein invented? And that will happen. I remember when I first started having an on-again, off-again relationship with gravity. Just like he had with Lana? Coincidence? I think not! (Well, OK, maybe a little. But Rachel might have contributed a bit there, too.) Only with us, here, we have to worry about more than making sure our schoolbooks are strategically placed. Yeah, I know you don't want to think about your Pa in that way. CJ: *Think?* I’ve got super hearing, x-ray vision, and folks who are ‘very much in love’. I’d love to just have to *think* about them that way. I've sometimes wondered how the parents in families whose apartments/tepees/igloos/yurts/whatevers have only a single bedroom manage to have more than two or three kids; the older kids presumably have experiences similar to CJ's, only at a much younger age. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback. Joy, Lynn
