For some reason we don't have a thread about this yet, do we?? Well we do now!

Virginia posted this in the "Adventures of Superman" thread:

From the premise of this episode, I was reminded of the old Fleischer cartoon set in the African jungles during WW2: "Jungle Drums". This episode apparently takes place in some fictionalized South American (or Mexican if one judges it by the "local guide's" accent) jungle. What's interesting about this story is that the DP has its own plane (or one it charters just for its reporters). How in the world did they ever stay in business with that kind of expense? Jimmy is funny because he stowaways aboard the flight. The reporters are captured by the natives who agree to let everyone go except one to be sacrificed to the "jungle devil". Can you guess who made it so he was chosen? [Wink]
I remember that one! I really enjoyed it because if I remember correctly, Lois went off on her own (without Clark as a co-worker/escort). Also, if I remember correctly that's not the first time Lois has had access to a plane. I remember her hopping on one and immediately flying it to a villain's lair in one of the early shorts called "Mad Scientist." In "Jungle Drums" at least it looks like it's a US military plane (from the paint on the side) and the pilot asks her to get a Top Secret message to someone.

CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx.
JONATHAN: A jinx?
CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me.
