I managed to rescue quite a few of my old fanfic trailers from an old hard drive I just found. There are a few trailers missing that I can't find anymore, but I figured you guys might like to see the ones I recovered It's been a while since they were posted. I even found one that I never actually did post before, so I guess this is its official debut. It's for Erin Klingler's Darkest hour.

If anybody still has the ones I did but can't find anymore, I think... Huntress Revenge, It's a Thing He Does at Parties, Dear Lois... maybe a few more, I'd love to grab them from you.

Well, you've got me interested in this stories! Thank you. I'll have to check them out... I'm assuming they are on the Archive.

Most of them should be on the Archive and if they have nfic versions, they should be at the Nfic Archive at Annesplace .

I hadn't realised we'd lost these although I should have, of course. That's quite sad. There were a lot more, if I remember rightly, too. Such a shame.

I should really investigate trying to get myself a zip drive as most of my historic FoLC files are unfortunately on zip disks and I haven't been able to view them since I got the new pc as few years ago, which doesn't have one. There must be some gems on there, if only I could access them!

Yes, they have. I wasn't talking about the videos, but the stories, in response to Virginia's question:

The gfic versions of the stories that the trailers in Aria's post are for should be on the Archive, AFAIK. And, if they have nfic versions, then those stories will be on the Nfic Archive - at Annesplace.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

Your fanfic trailers are awesome! I remember some of them, but watching just a few has definitely put a smile on my face and given me a desire to re-read the stories.

I was so sad when the vid site came down. I have no talent for vidding and I appreciate so much the talent of others. Thanks for saving and re-posting these.

I have the trailer that Pam did of Four Days to Nightfall and the Home series, as well as quite a few others, but I have no idea how to post them to You-tube.

I could probably figure out how to post to YouTube (music videos, too) but I'm not sure how risky that is, legally speaking... anybody know?

I've had the video trailer made for my story posted on Youtube for quite some time with no warnings about copyright. Maybe since you make no money on it, nobody minds?

YT do have a habit of removing music vids - however they seem to be fairly capricious about it. Yours could be taken down immediately or stay there forever, far as I can tell. Just a question of if or when they notice it.

Sometimes, they don't remove them but simply disable the music track. I think they're more concerned with the music than anything else. So it would probably depend on which track you used, too, I suspect. Perhaps something older or from an artist not so hot on copyright infringement would slip under the wire and not be noticed as much.

First of all, thank you Aria for posting those trailers, it gives me envy to read or re-read some stories.
Second, I am a Lois & Clark vidder like others such as Folc4evernaday or LoisandClarkAlway, we are posting videos music about Lois & Clark, most of the time there is not any problem. I also posted for exemple on YT trailers. The ones, Poussin made for her stories like "A special relationship, but also the one she made for Jenni Debbage and StopQuitDont's story, "A gift for life".

I just got back to the forum after a few years absence (real life kept me VERY busy) and I just found out that the FoLC video archive doesn't exist anymore. It's very sad

In 2008, I've saved a lot of the fanfic trailers that were there on my hard drive. I won't repost them on youtube or anywhere else without the author's authorization. But I could send the lighter ones by email to anyone who ask them.
