Nice!!! Very WAFFy ending.

And you know, I must be out of practice at fanfic-reading or something, because when Clark spoke up to stop the wedding, I couldn't figure out why he'd done it -- I'd totally forgotten he had super-hearing goofy I guess I was just very deeply into Lois's POV, and since she doesn't know that... I didn't either. Or something.

Great job, Nicole -- thanks for sharing!

PJ

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Joey: If he doesn't like you, then this is all just a moo point.
Rachel: A moo point?
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion, you know, it just doesn't matter. It's "moo."
Rachel: Have I been living with him for too long, or did that all just make sense?

Another well done project! party

clap Wonderful, Nicole! I really liked this story, and I liked how Lois ultimately got out of the wedding with Clark’s help.

That was such a neat touch – Lex risking that others would also see his “true nature” if Lois chose to make a public fuss. He was taking quite a gamble, because even with all her support -- the Planet, her friends, Clark – supposedly removed, she is still Lois Lane and could have so easily made a scene.

And having Clark hear her whispers, and having him speak up at the exact right moment… brilliant!!

I think my favorite line is Rachel’s, when she and Lois are talking and she tells Lois how much she enjoyed the… non-wedding, I guess you’d call it, because it was so exiting, and that in Smallville you just forever held your peace.

Absolutely wonderful!
Loved how you used the "You are a strange one.." quote. smile1

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Ditto everyone else here, Nicole - this was a lovely finish. thumbsup Really WAFFy after all the emotional pain, and giving us lots of hope for Lois and Clark's future. smile

When Lois and Lex started whispering to each other, I was just waiting for a sign that Clark had heard. And you used that just perfectly! clap I love the way he stepped between her and Lex. Always her hero, whether or not he's in the Suit!

And that final scene... just lovely. twins

More from you soon, I hope!
