There are a few songs that I've always thought would be perfect for an L&C video... but I have exactly zero skills or equipment for making one myself... so it finally occurred to me I could put the suggestion out there and hope that some kind soul would take me up on it The first one I thought of was "Alone" by Heart (as in, how do I get you alone) -- I thought it suited WWW very well. The second is "Head over Feet" by Alannis Morrissette. Those lyrics are pure Lois, talking about Clark. "Head Over Feet"
I had no choice but to hear you You stated your case time and again I thought about it
You treat me like I'm a princess I'm not used to liking that You ask how my day was
Chorus: You've already won me over in spite of me Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are I couldn't help it It's all your fault
Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole You're so much braver than I gave you credit for That's not lip service
Chorus: You've already won me over in spite of me Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are I couldn't help it It's all your fault
You are the bearer of unconditional things You held your breath and the door for me Thanks for your patience
--music bridge--
You're the best listener that I've ever met You're my best friend Best friend with benefits What took me so long
I've never felt this healthy before I've never wanted something rational I am aware now I am aware now
(Repeat chorus)
I've got that one as an mp3 file, but I don't have the first one. Well, except for on cassette, but I don't think that counts <g> I'm sure more web-music-savvy people than me could find it, though. So, anyway... there's the ideas. Here's hoping they stir someone's video muse PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

Pam, I saw the title of this thread, and I thought to myself, "you know, I also have a song that for the longest time I have wanted to see made into an L&C music video. I think I'll log on and add my request to Pam's." You'll never guess what the song was that I was going to request... "Head over Feet" by Alannis Morrissette! Those lyrics are pure Lois, talking about Clark. - Vicki

lol, thanks for chiming in, guys! After I posted the original request I felt pretty dorky about it <g> Nice to know I'm not completely insane. Or at least, that I'm not alone in my delusions PJ

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Oh no! Computers are great . . . except when they're NOT! Good luck with the reinstall, Trenna.

I was listening to some old CDs the other day and it struck me all over again how much the lyrics of Robbie Robertson's Broken Arrow remind me of Clark and Lois. Well...some of them do. <g> I realise you'd have to get pretty creative on the chorus to make it fit , (although I tend to always think of that 'snow from the Andes' scene at that point <g>) but the rest of it and the way that Robbie sings it with that throaty voice of his makes me shiver every time I hear it. Broken Arrow Who else is gonna bring you A broken arrow Who else is gonna bring you A bottle of rain There he goes, moving across the water There he goes turning my whole world around Do you feel what I feel? Can we make that so it's part of the deal? I'm gonna hold you in these arms of steel Lay your heart on the line ... this time I wanna breathe when you breathe When you whisper like that hotsummer breeze Count the beads of sweat that cover me Didn't you show me a sign...this time? Who else is gonna bring you A broken arrow Who else is gonna bring you A bottle of rain There he goes, moving across the water There he goes turning my wholeworld around Can you see what I see? Can you cut behind the mystery? I will meet you by the witness tree Leave the whole world behind I want to come when you call And I'll get to you if I have to crawl They can't hold me with these iron walls We've got mountains to climb Who else is gonna bring you A broken arrow Who else is gonna bring you A bottle of rain There he goes, moving across the water There he goes turning my whole world around LabRat
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

I love that song, Labby! I never thought of it in terms of L&C before, but it really fits quite well.

i'm not one for listening to pop music anymore (it is so over) but I've always loved *NSYNC's 'God Must Have Spent (a Little More Time on You)' the lyrics are so sweet I reckon they totally describe the way Clark feels about Lois.
