Ok, the original discussion that triggered this poll is lost in the ether somewhere... but the poll shall live again! laugh

I had suggested that Tank be obliged to not only exceed the total number of stories of any other writer (as was suggested by several FoLCs), but exceed total number of KB as well. Tank was... less than enthusiastic about this suggestion. So, I suggested putting it to a vote -- or at least a poll wink -- of his "gentle readers."

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Of course he can retire. Just not from writing L&C stories. smile

Okay I posted of course for `Tank can`t retire ever`

But I have a question: Wasn`t this poll posted yesterday already? And I had already, as well as several others, voted confused

Yesterday the boards crashed and the last 24 hours worth of posts were lost. Everything posted before that had been backed up (thanks to Annette's wisdom clap ).

Sorry for the inconvenience. frown

Well, it seems to me that Tank can't retire, even when he says he's retired. Besides, writer's don't "retire". Have you ever known a writer to really retire???

I voted for Tank may retire whenever he wishes, as often as he wishes -- as long as he keeps writing.
Thank Paul. He pointed out its absence when I posted the poll originally... so since I had to redo the poll anyway, I made it New & Improved. wink

Something Wendy mentioned in her responses to the feedback in her latest instalment of WLMC made me come back here to take a good look at what finally transpired.

So, it appears that I can retire anytime and as often as I want... as long as I keep writing.

THANK YOU.

Since nothing in that codecile mentioned anything about what kind of writing was required. I guess that would mean that any kind of writing would meet the conditions... like posting comments on the message boards on other folks stories. That's writing, isn't it? laugh

I think I'm going to get to rethink this unretirement thing. wink
