Who will hit the coveted 250 mark first? Rat in her number of posts, or the number of board members?
FYI:

I underestimated Labby on the last poll -- not gonna bet against her on this one <g> But hopefully they'll both top 250 soon PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

:p Actually, can I get Annette to fix the mbs so that the numbers run backwards each time I post? Being a cub reporter made me look a lot younger and more windswept and interesting than a Kerth. LabRat

ROTFL, Sunshine. No...fear of lynching. Still trying to get the Muse to co-operate on part two of Epiphany and it's due to be posted in the morning. It's been a bear of a week with too many distractions and no real time to settle down to it. Don't worry - I am way behind on my fanfic reading because of it. Hoping to catch up there and post lots and lots of comments over the weekend. Providing I haven't been lynched by then of course. LabRat

Going with the member count on this one. Labby amazing, and I'm sure she could put her mind to it if she wanted to. But I'm hoping that she's going to be putting her mind to Epiphany for now, and by the time that she finishes that up, I'm guessing the member count will be above 250.

Ehm, I've voted for the other members - I myself have now topped 100, and I know that Pam has, and one or two others have. Certainly we can all pull together to beat that Rat?

Voted for LabRat! The board member numbers seem to be increasing slowly, much slower than LabRat's posting, IMO! Plus Don't worry - I am way behind on my fanfic reading because of it. Hoping to catch up there and post lots and lots of comments over the weekend. This may well result in a huge influx of posts! Melisma suggested Certainly we can all pull together to beat that Rat? Well, I'm certainly trying! As I post this - No of members = 241 No of Posts = 175 Loriel

I voted for Labby - once she admitted to herself that she couldn't get Epiphany done on time, that gave her plenty of room to up the posting count. She has 3 posts in her "Epiphany Apology" thread alone!

Well, I claim exceptional circumstances there, having spent the afternoon catching up with the fanfic I was behind with and mass commenting. Call it an aberration. <G> LabRat (well, unless I get behind on fic again, of course....)

Mel, the current number of board members is shown on the front page of the boards. That's where we're getting the count of 246 from. So... Members: 246. LabRat: 219. We need another four members, or another 31 posts from Rat. It sounds like a no-brainer, but... Maths Warning: Rat, you might want to look away now! - Number of additional members since Missy started this poll: 6.
- Number of additional LabRat posts since Missy started this poll: 48.
- Average new members per day: 1.5
- Average new LabRat posts per day: 12.
So in the time it takes to get four new members - three days - LabRat will have made 36 more posts. It's too close to call, FoLCs! Wendy (ducking and running very fast... )

Maths Warning: Rat, you might want to look away now! /me puts on her Math <g> Protection Glasses, which handily blocks out all the scary stuff and lets her read the rest of Wendy's post. Mel, you can also check out member stats if you hit the directory link at the top of the front page. That will let you see who the newest members are and who the top five posters are. LabRat

well, i finally broke down and voted. in favor of the rat. it looks like it'll be close, but as i post this: members: 247 labrat: 228 so, getting down to the wire. either could go over in the next 2 days. i'm thinking it'll be labby, tho. funny that you posted this... i'd been wondering when labby's post count would pass the member count. also, i'd like to point out that we're almost back up to the pre-crash member count. we had been up to 253 2 weeks after the first opening. now we're 12 days after the reopening, and up to 247. cool, huh? Paul

I was considering registering under another name to seal the deal. But that would be cheating -- and surely unnecessary to boot! Come on, we just need ONE more! Besides, I can't stay caught up on the boards now. Imagine if I had to read everything twice!

I was just having a quick peek at the boards before going back to researching and noticed the members had risen to 249, so had to check out LabRat's post count, and discovered it was at 250! Loriel (who's sure it had to have been rigged to be so close! )

Shhh... If you don't tell my doctors on me, I'll let you in on a secret... Every once in a *very* long while I like to have a small bottle of BC fruit cider - they make the nicest pear and peach and raspberry and apple ciders with a low or slightly higher alcohol content, (I think they are low - one is .05%, the other is .7%, if memory serves - but then, I know nothing about alcoholic drinks, LOL) and when I'm home, especially if I go out to a nice restaurant that carries them, I will have one. Nice little treat, and I wish I could split a bottle with you, Rat - you deserve it EDIT: It occurs to me that this kind of cider is prolly *very* different from the kind of cider you were referring to, Labby. Knowing that cider in Britain is different from what I think most of us in North American think of as cider... But I still think you'd like it, if you don't think of it as British cider and just another interesting drink to try Melisma (raising her cybercider glass in a toast to the Rat, here under her Rock)
