Lois & Clark Forums Forums General Discussion Technical Help and How To's Word thesaurus and LJ entries incompatibility?

I copied and pasted in a Word file a story I found in a Livejournal, and although it doesn't seem to have any problem, I can't get my thesaurus to work with it. Even if I type a word of my own in that same file, it still won't work. Also, it won't work if I copy the text and paste it in another Word file (where the thesaurus worked at first).

I tried both Shift+F7 and going to the thesaurus from the Tools menu, but nothing. OTOH, in all my other Word files, the thesaurus works without a problem.

Is there a matter of incompatibility between LJ and Word? Or is there a way to resolve this problem?

What might solve this is first copying the story into wordpad, then Word. That way what you paste into Word will be in plain text and should work.
