A couple who I suspect need serious counselling have turned to the internet and asked people to name their impending baby girl. This is working about as well as you might expect...

Lois currently has only two votes, so there is a LOT of ground to make up. To be honest, I'd recommend voting for Amelia, to save the poor kid from being called Cthulhu!

I love some of the comments with the article:

Quote
Cthulhu is a fitting name for a baby, cause when they wake up your sanity fades and all manner of horrors await.

"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Some of those names on the list are fab! Had such a good laugh! Domestos, Snarfleberry, Non-Belieber, Megatron, Hypnotoad. Oh my. I do quiet like All-Spark though. smile

Good thing Dad's reserved the right to ignore them all.

The baby is here, and her name is Amelia Savannah Joy McLaughlin. This wasn't actually the first-place name -- that was Cthulhu All-Spark. The parents went with the second most-popular name.

Seems like it all turned out for the best. Really like the name, actually...

Thanks for the update,
Laura smile

"Where's Clark?" "Right here."

...two simple sentences--with so much meaning.

I'd forgotten about this one - glad they found something they liked.
