Randomly had the idea to see if this place was still around today...and not only is it here but there are still some familiar faces running around.

Amazing. The longevity of this community is sweet, and I feel like I just went back to my grandma's house years later to find it's all the same but just a little different.

Cool to see you back, Capes!

Not only still here but positively thriving. Which given how long LNC has been off air is quite amazing. I guess people just don't get tired of exploring new adventures with our favourite couple. A testament to the enduring myth of the Superman universe.

All I know is that it's still a lot of fun to hang out here after all these years and it's still my first stop off point in the morning when i switch on the pc. smile

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

We even have more members! Look at the number, 7330 members!
Dip into some of the new fiction from new authors.

IolantheAlias, you're making me blush . Thank you.

Welcome back, Capes! Nice to know that LnC isn't something you can ever quite get out of your bloodstream. wink

And if we're all recommending new (or fairly new) authors, we can't forget AntiKryptonite. Nobody can reach the emotional depth to the characters better. clap She never disappoints.

For short fics go to Lynn S.M. clap She never disappoints.
And now, Virginia, you're making me blush . Thank you!

My turn to make someone else blush. My victim is Sue S., the queen of WAFF. If you're in the mood for some light romantic fare, then fly, don't walk, directly to her stories. She is also capable of making gfic stories that are probably steamier than many an nfic post. (I say "probably" only because I don't read nfic myself.)

I second the recommendations for the works of Female Hawk and AntiKryptonite.

Lynn

Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.

Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right.

This community boasts of a wealth of writers, all of whom make this a lovely place to visit when RL gets a little crazy.

Thumbs up to AntiK. Reading her stories always makes me think there is hope for the next generation of writers in general.

Let's not forget those who have passed the torch: Janet Owens, Erin Klinger, CarolM and ML Thompson.

Morgana

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
