I've got a pile of books in PDF format which I've converted via Calibre to MOBI. That seemed to go just fine and I loaded the first converted book onto my Kindle for PC.

But when I opened it up it's in blocks of text all run together, with very sporadic paragraphs.

Not exactly what I'd call a good conversion.

Anything I can do to fix that problem?

Labby, I put fics on my Kindle by emailing the Text file to my Amazon address. This has worked great for me.

Don't you have to pay for that service, Sue?

No, I send a text file to '(myname)@kindle dot com'. The file is sent to my kindle in readable form.

Ah, I see. Thanks for that, then. Should come in handy! smile

I've discovered that Calibre converts epub files to Kindle just fine, but it doesn't do WORD. I'll try Text next - the blurb does state that it converts text, so hopefully I shouldn't have an issue with that.

With a bit of luck, Amazon will be able to convert the PDF files.
