I just read the feedback thread to "Inside the Elevator" (great story, by the way), and noticed a comment by Maria D. Ferdez. I miss her. She read _everyone_, posted the most encouraging feedback, and kept a running list of Stories Not Completed. Does anyone know what happened to her?

Maria - wasn't she from somewhere in South America?
I remember that her disappearance came up before now. *goes looking*

Here's what I found: http://www.lcficmbs.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=001614#000008

I think that's the last thing she posted, though. It's strange, and I have a bad feeling about it.

huh

She kept posting regularly all the way through 2007 and early 2008. Here's her last post from May 2008:

Hope she's well.

She said something about being ill in some of her last posts. I, too, worry about what has happened. I agree that Maria was always very encouraging in her feedback and always came through as a very sweet and kind person.

I miss Maria, too. She was from Puerto Rico, by the way. We had some conversations about that because I used to live there.

me too, to everything that's been said. Maria has been so supportive of so many of our writers, always a gentle and positive person. I hope she is well.

Add me to the list of those who miss Maria and hope that she's doing well. As I recall, she did disappear from the boards for a few months before and then came back and cited health reasons as the cause. It's very worrisome that she's been gone for so long now without a word. Have emails and/or PMs to her gone unanswered? sad

Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.

Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right.
