Well, maybe someone has already noted this, but I couldn't find it, so here it is if you didn't know. Teri Hatcher played Lois' mother on Smallville this evening. She looked rather like the Lois in the first season of LnC.

She did a fantastic job. I was on the edge of crying.

I'm sure you know that Dean played the sociopath immortal Dr Curtis Knox who got to say "I was Jack the ripper!"

And my husband noted that there might be future appearances, too, since her character made a series of videotapes, and Smallville Lois only watched the first one.

Thinking of Teri Hatcher as Ellen Lane, though, is... very very weird. And the Clark/Tess parts were very creepy. Definitely a "so you think you know your parents? Wrong!" kind of episode.

who is kind of watching Smallville, now that Clark knows that Lois knows CK=S. Or B, in this case.

I don't watch Smallville. But I do read the posts on it sometimes. Anyway, Pam's comment that this may be the first of a few Mom & Lois tapes, struck me as paralleling the holograms Clark got from his parents in L & C.

I'd like to hope that, too, but I'm afraid that the Smallville powers that be are too cheap to pay for Teri Hatcher for more than one episode.

But Teri could do all the tapes in one sitting. Actually, that works for the character, since Ellen probably would make them continuously.

I'd bet that the SAG contract makes them pay per show so that they can't cheap out on paying that way.
