I remember when a big rock almost hit us but ended up hitting Jupiter and NASA said it just changed course. It's almost like some wised-up, non-spandexed someone just threw it off.

I can't help but think, well, I don't think there's much we can do if there's one heading our way anyway. Short of nuking it. And if the world about to come to an end, I don't want to know. XD

Still, that's kind of cool, in a scary sci-fi-is-real way!
