Me again. laugh

I've been having a wonderfully blissful time reading some of the previous recs. Then I read IdignoMuse's Seisdeath. Holy cow. Gave me goosebumps! eek

So, now I'm in the mood for two types of stories (the longer the better):

1. Scully in danger/Mulder to the rescue.

2. Scully physically threatened by a Mulder under the influence of something or other... laugh

Any recs gratefully received!

I can't think of any, unfortunately... I'd love to read some of those too!

I wish I had new recs to give you anyway, but I've been reading all of Sue's fic (which is awesome and you've already looked at) since the last thread!

Mulder: Imagine if you could come back and take out five people who had caused you to suffer. Who would they be?
Scully: I only get five?
Mulder: I remembered your birthday this year, didn't I, Scully?

Ah, well, I figured I might be pushing my luck. laugh

I could always try the Lost and Found Archive, see if anyone there can think of any - another great resource, btw.

And I discovered a very old CD recently which has a ton of ancient fanfic on it, some of which is XF, so I'll go wade through that, see if anything comes up. I figure they must be stories I really liked if I saved them to disk. If I find anything I think you might enjoy, I'll PM you and pass the details along. smile

hi, I think this is my first post, but I saw you mention X-files fanfic.

Have you ever heard of these sites? They are all X-Files and have a ton of what you are probably looking for.

I hadn't found the first site in my travels, no, so thanks for that - it looks interesting! Can't wait to explore.

The second of your links takes me to the main Gossamer page. I notice that there's a menu on the right hand side labelled 'Complete Archives' with a list including Krycek and Tooms. But when I click on these I just get a reload of the home page. Is there supposed to be something different there, do you know?

Thanks for the help!

It's just that Gossamer has three mirror servers, Labby - so you can go to krycek.gossamer.org, fluky.gossamer.org, and tooms.gossamer.org, and they're all exactly the same.

Man, I wish I could remember the name of this fic that I read that was EXACTLY what you're looking for. It was very long and Scully was kidnapped and the kidnapper was a freak show and was totally tormenting Mulder for something that happened years ago and he sent Mulder Scully's underpants or something and Mulder rescued her from a burning down building and MAN it was SO good!

Yeah, I realize that doesn't help but maybe Alcyone or Sue would know. Sue was involved in the fandom back in the day and gave me a lot of recs and Alcyone did too.

If you find any good action/drama/suspense fics, let me know too cause now I'm just itching to read one!

Dang, I wish I could remember the name of that fic... /ponders

Thanks! I've posted on the Lost and Found Fanfic board - a wonderful resource btw way with a great group of people who know everything there is to know about XF fanfic. Haven't failed me yet and I've been keeping them busy. laugh

I've asked and if they come up with an answer, I'll let you know!

I swear, those guys at Lost and Found are just awesome. Apparently, it's Revenge by LovesFox and it's at Gossamer.

BTW - somewhat belatedly as I completely forgot about it - the Lost and Found crew gave me this list of stories which meet the Scully in Danger criteria. I haven't read most of them yet and I'm told the level of danger involved varies, but they should all fit the bill.

Most of them can be found at Gossamer, I believe.

Wow, you guys rock. /bookmarks all that awesome fic

I have no Mulder to the Rescue stories to rec, but just had to add that the stories by Penumbra are just amazing. She packs so much into every word that even rereading them is like a new experience. The story Black Hole Season is a post-ep for Orison, so it's kind of post-MttR-ish. wink
