FoLCs know everything so...

I've heard that you can lose 6-12" a session with body wraps [permanently]. Does anyone know if this is true? Is it a... good thing or detrimental? Can it really be done at home? Is it worth either the salon price [looks like about 80 for one session around here] or buying someone's ebook or something online to do at home?

Does anyone have any personal experiences they can share?

I've been working out and have lost some weight [we are ignoring that I haven't worked out in a week for a variety of valid, semi-valid and completely ludicrous reasons ] but am curious about this as a... supplement to the work I'm doing elsewhere.

Any information/thoughts/etc would be greatly appreciated .

You temporarily lose inches from the body wrap. The wrap compresses your tissues temporarily. It doesn't last. If the wrap is one involving heat, you can also lose inches through water loss, by sweating. Again, this is only temporary. If you enjoy the wraps, it can be a nice time for relaxation. But, not for permanent weight loss.

Meadowrose is right. It's only temporary. My boyfriend in college did it and he lost some inches, only temporarily though. I think he was back to wherever he was before within a week or so. Maybe a nice thing to do before a class reunion or something but not for anything permanent.

Hmmm... I have a reunion in a couple weeks...
