Can't keep this from you. I was talking to an American girl today about weird names, and she insisted that she knows of a teacher who, when calling the roll for a new class for the first time, came across the name Sh*thead. The flustered teacher started asking for Blank-head. Finally a boy spoke up and said, "It's Shu-theed!"

P.S. The same American girl told me about a woman who worked at a daycare center. The name of one of the kids at the daycare center was spelled La-a. But the staff couldn't make the girl react when they called her name. The proper pronunciation of the name was LaDasha!

Yeah, as a pediatrician, I think I've seen more than my fair share of strange/disturbing names.
I've heard both of those.
I have also seen "Female" - pronounced "Fah-mall-ee".
Abcde - pronounced "ab-si-dee".
Twin boys named Lemonjello and Orangejello - "Leh-mon-gu-low" and "Or-on-gu-low". dizzy
I also have KingDavid, SirAnthony, Mister, EmpressJadazia...etc...

We have fun in the clinic and the ER just looking at the schedule. But SO sad for some of these kids.
