The White Shadow was a TV show that was on when I was a kid. It was about a white NBA star that retired from the pros following an injury and who took a coaching job at a high school with mostly black and Hispanic students.

Oh, and "the Brown Bomber" was Joe Lewis a black boxer who was the heavyweight champ back in the 30/40's.

My first car was a brown mustang I used to call "Joe" after Lewis as it was tough as nails and could survive anything. smile

I keep reading and remembering things. Wasn't the "White Witch" a Marvel character in the X-Men comics? She was a telepath who was part of the Hellfire Club (a group of evil mutants) that later supposedly "reformed" and joined the X-Men where she became the love interest for Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops following the death of Jean Gray, The Phoenix.

I might be totally off base since geography isn't one of my strengths, but isn't the yellow sea the sea where the yellow river ends in? I'm sure the yellow sea is somewhere around China.

The Green Hornet was Bruce Lee. I'm 99% sure.

Edit: Nope, I was wrong. I checked and Bruce Lee played Kato in the show the Green Hornet. The Green Hornet was played by a number of actors over the years.

No, the name is a confusion of the White Queen (Emma Frost, who you described), and the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff, daughter of Magneto)

Wow! People here know a lot.

I thought the "Rosetta Stone" question was a little bit of a cheat because it didn't refer to a color, rather to a place in Egypt - Rosetta, a port city on the Mediterranean coast.

I did check it on wikipedia: There were 3 languages on the stone - Classical Greek, and 2 types of Egyptian script - demotic and hieroglyphics. It was the same message in three different languages which was what finally allowed the linguists to understand/translate hieroglyphics.

Ah, I get you. You're absolutely right. I kept thinking "White Witch" sounded "off".

But now I have to wonder, who is the White Witch?

Did is a word of achievement
Won't is a word of retreat
Might is a word of bereavement
Can't is a word of defeat
Ought is a word of duty
Try is a word of each hour
Will is a word of beauty
Can is a word of power

The White Witch is the villain of the Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe:
Just to expand a little, the White Witch was the Empress Jadis of Charn (a dead world with an old red sun), brought accidentally to Narnia by Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer in The Magician's Nephew. A thousand years later, she ruled over Narnia in an endless winter that had lasted for 100 years, hence her nickname "The White Witch," in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

"You need me. You wouldn't be much of a hero without a villain. And you do love being the hero, don't you. The cheering children, the swooning women, you love it so much, it's made you my most reliable accomplice." -- Lex Luthor to Superman, Question Authority, Justice League Unlimited
