My mom has to have a heart catherization tomorrow. She also has a very leaky mitral valve in her heart. Depending on what they find with the heart cath and a transesophageal echocardigram (ultrasound of the heart from the esophagus), she could end up having to have immediate surgery.

We could use any good thoughts and prayers sent our way.

Thanks, Nancy

Nancy,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted and let us know how you and your mom are doing.

<<<hugs>>> Sue

Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.

Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right.

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

I'll be thinking of you mom and sending good thoughts her way, as I plan to be at my mother's home to take care of her as she is coming home from hospital. Her operation went well.

Definitely will pray for her. Thanks for giving us the heads up, and Ann I also hope your mother has a good recovery.

God bless all,
JD

Thanks, everyone!

Mom did well with her procedures. She was found to have only one blockage in the lower part of her heart and it was only 50%. They usually don't intervene unless there is at least a 70% blockage. Considering her family history (four siblings with major heart attacks), this is really good. She had a moderate mitral valve leakage and at this point, it will be managed medically rather than surgically.

Again, thanks everybody. I'm sure your thoughts and prayers made the day go smoothly!
