Hmm. I'm going to guess one of the Blooms is from Bloom County.

The Bay Mirror - Charmed
Quahog Informan - Family Guy?
The Cardiff Gazette - I'm going to guess Torchwood laugh
The Daily Bugle - Spider-Man, or just the Marvel universe
The Daily Planet - Gee, I don't know wink
The Torch - Smallville
The Springfield Shopper - I'll guess The Simpsons

Aren't the National Whisper and the Star from L&C as well?

Thanks for the fun game smile

I wasn't very good at it, but here are the few ones I think I do know:

Bikini Bottom News - SongeBob SquarePants *yay*

New York Ledger - I know that's not a comic, but isn't this from Law & Order?

North Borneo Gazette - Superman
Quahog Informan - Family Guy

The Arlen Bystander - I don't know, but I like "Bystander" for a Newspaper wink

The Bay Mirror - again no comic, but isn't that the paper Phoebe works for in Charmed?

The Cardiff Gazette - That should be Dr Who

The Daily Brute - again, no idea but great name

The Daily Planet - now there's a real one smile

The Pickford Penny Pincher - great name

The Springfield Shopper Simpsons

The Torch - Smallville

Actually, I think quite a few of the newspaper names on your list sound real, so I really couldn't figure out those two.

Edit: I saw it in Karen's post, but I swear I knew the Bugle to be Peter Parker's newspaper, must have deleted it by accident.

The Borchester Echo is from a BBC radio series, The Archers.

The Siderial Daily Mentioner is from The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I think.

I think The Walford Gazette is from the British TV series Coronation Street.

Wrong soap Marcus! I'm guessing that the Walford Gazette is from Eastenders, which is set in Walford (fictional area of London). Unless there's a weird crossover going on there!

Isn't the Chicago Herald real? Or am I being an ignorant Britisher?

No, Chicago has the Sun-Times and the Tribune.

And apparantly they have The Daily Herald, as well (although I'd never heard of them before doing a google search). They're found at Daily Herald .

No, it's probably me remembering wrong - I don't watch soaps so it's MANY years since I've seen either.

To add to the ones already listed I believe that "Hooterville World Guardian" is probably either from "Green Acres" or "Pettycoat Junction" (both TV shows set in the same area...I miss those old shows *sigh*)

Oh, and I think "The National Whisper" is from the Superman comics...again, I think.
