Don't you hate it when you loose touch with internet friends? I do. And particularly this one friend that I've been friends with since about 8-9 years ago.

Since meeting, we've emailed lots , written proper letters, talked on Skype, sent presents every year etc etc etc. But for about four months now, she's failed to respond to my emails...

Does anyone, by any chance, have any ideas of how to locate her? I've tried googling with both her married name, her maiden and her email address. She's become one of my best friends over the years and I don't want to give up. I have the last mailing address that she gave me, which she said she'd be at until at least early February. I tried sending a letter there and have had no reply/letter sent back either.

I know she and her husband are in the US Air Force and that she was trying to have a baby - maybe she's just become really busy? But it's not like her... I just get worried, you know? I hope nothing's happened to her. You just never know with internet friends, do you?

*sigh* If anyone can help in any way, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks.

~Anna.

Hmmm...it might be unlikely, but have you tried:
www.facebook.com
www.classmates.com

Sorry, I can't think of anything else.

I've lost touch with all my penpals I'm sad to say. I wish I could find them. The second last one I lost touch with was in the US army.

Hope you have some luck!!

Could try to look up a phone number, assuming it's not private?

Service people always get their mail, a few years late in some cases, but they get it. When my brother was in Nam, it took a few months for the mail to catch up to him. He had been moved around a few times from the time we sent the letter and the time he got it. Maybe your friend is on the move.

But SJH, does that hold true if they're not out of the country, but in the USA?

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. No luck yet though, I'm afraid. I don't have a home phone number unfortunately - we talked over Skype because it was easier and cheaper.

It's been six months now since I last heard from her. *sigh*

Yay! You won't believe it, after all this time she emailed me! laugh You wouldn't believe how big the grin on my face is right now! laugh

It was so good to hear from her. Just wanted to share my relief that everything was okay with her. In fact, she's pregnant! Yay!

*sigh* I love it when things finally work out...
