Okay, so it's a bit early, but I'm dying for this ep. The Director's Cut is up, for those interested, and I'm told Yahoo will have a 12-minute preview sometime today (which is about a quarter of the ep) for anyone who'd like to tune in. YouTube link for Director\'s Cut (length 2:20) Promo is up at http://tv.yahoo.com - I absolutely loved it. But I'm an ensemble cast fan, love guest heroes, and love that Chloe got some coolness. Lois is usually depicted as more appealing to me in SDK eps, so we'll see if that holds for this one as well. Liked her in the scene I saw with her, but then, I like Lois/Ollie very much.

Not that I'm not interested in the show, but it's kind of weird to have a "Justice League" before Clark becomes Superman.
I'm guessing the kid in the cage is The Flash
I think, therefore, I get bananas.

yep, the guy in the cage is Flash. And yes, it's weird, but they've been hinting towards a JLA for a while on the show. Thanks for the link tzigone. I can't wait to see this episode!!!

Well, yeah, with the "Junior Lifeguarding Association" in Aquaman. That was almost lame. I laugh at some of the references to Superman or even the LnC:NAOS series. The ones I'm referring to are in Revenge: "You think you do that Clark? What, Chloe? Be a mild-mannered reporter and a crime-fighter by night?" or once where Chloe mentions to Lois that Lex probably has a lot of "Sex, lies, and videotape" but he keeps the key to it under his pillow.

Just finished watching it (for the second time ) and all I have to say is... Best. Episode. Ever. No Lana, lots of comic book geek references, and a plot without a gaping whole in it. What more could I ask for? I even liked how they explained using "Impulse" instead of "Flash". I was afraid they'd ignore it completely and act like that was actually his name. I am sad that Oliver is gone now though. Damn, he was hot. ~Anna

Ditto what Anna said. I'm sad Ollie is gone, too. But he could come back. And... on the bright side, this could bring Lois and Clark closer together and I would just... you know.... melt!!

Yeah, I definitely think he'll be back, but with the way the goodbye went, I'm thinking it won't before a while. And of course I was really hoping there'd be some scene at the end where Lois ended up in Clark's comforting embrace. *G* Did you did Clark's face when he walked in and Lois said she could have been naked?? OMG I squeed like a fangirl. ~Anna

I loved it. It was fantastic.
I so hope Ollie gets his own spinoff. And Lois can go with him. (I'm a Lois/Oliver fan).
I loved the camaraderie. I loved the talk about what they were about. I love that they didn't need Clark to tell them to clear the building before blowing it up. I loved Chloe totally in on it. I loved the emotion in the Ollie/Lois goodbye. I loved that when all the others left, it was Chloe still by Clark's side. I loved Bart cleaning the kitchen.
It was just great.

Has anyone heard about a potential new Justice League spinoff? I've heard nothing but then I never really look for spoilers. It would be awesome if they signed all four of those guys for a new show. Of course the Justice League without Superman would be odd.

I'd love a spinoff, but so far, the word has been that there will not be one (tptb have been asked several times).

I'd love it if they'd do several eps a year with the Justice League. That would be enough for me. Yes, I think this is my favorite episode of Smallville. It was just great for all the points mentioned above. Lois had a good emotional piece too. And I loved the bit with Clark seeing her holding up the teddy. During the dialogue with Oliver when Lois listed why she couldn't be with a guy who ran off to save the world all the time I thought "just wait girl. You're going to be with the Big Kahuna himself." He He He. So did anyone notice the animated Green Arrow background stories you can dl to your iPod that they are advertising? Does anyone here do that? Artemis

My understanding is that you have to be a Sprint wireless customer to get those. I think they'll be up on the cw web site in six or so weeks, though.

Yeah, right. A Sprint customer. We're Cingular (I guess AT&T again) now. I think they'll be up on the cw web site in six or so weeks, though. Great news! Thanks. They looked pretty good. Artemis

My friend just emailed me this pic she took a few months ago, so I thought I'd share. At least I'll have this to look at now that Oliver's gone. ~Anna ETA: That's me in the pic, btw. The way I wrote the post I think I made it sound like it's my friend there.
