I'd like to know if you like/don't like "Standing in the rainbow" by Fannie Flagg and why. A dear friend of mine loved previous works by Flagg ("Fried green tomatoes at the Whistle Stop cafe", "Welcome to the world, baby girl!" and "Daisy Fay and the miracle man"), her birthday is next week and this book seems a good present for her. Usually I don't give books which I didn't read, and even if I have read her stories and liked them I don't know this one, I really have no time to read it and so I'd like ask for your opinion!

Thanks,

Simona smile

Have you checked Amazon?

Looking at the book\'s page there , I see that it gets an average rating of 4/5 stars, and there are 150 user reviews (mostly pretty positive) that you can read over.

When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

Love this book! As long as your friend enjoyed "Welcome to the World, Baby Girl", then she probably will like "Standing in the Rainbow" as well.

As to *why* I loved it, it's hard to say. The best explanation I can give is that it is like a breath of fresh air.
