There's this song - I've heard it on the radio a couple of times. It's mellow, and sung by a female voice (unless I'm terribly mistaken). Now the thing is, I couldn't make out the lyrics very well, and I can't remember them now What has stuck in my mind is the third line from the chorus, which is 'with or without you'. Which doesn't seem to be very helpful, because a Google search for 'with or without you' comes up with a variety of songs - but none of those is the one I'm looking for. (U2's "With Or Without You", Mariah Carey's "Without You", The Dixie Chicks' "Without You", Jesse McCartney's "Without You", Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You", Lorrie Morgan's "Another Winter Without You", 3T's "Without You"...) So, I was wondering... does anyone happen to have any clue as to which song this one might be? Thank you! AnnaBtG.

I tried narrowing down the Google search. I found: A*Teens, With Or Without You (sung by guys and girls) Alexia, Te Amo Ashanti, The Pledge (but I kind of doubt this is the one) Luvplanet, Life Goes On (although this one is not mellow, it's rock) N*Sync, Tearin\' Up My Heart ('Cause those boys sound like Farinelli on helium and nobody could blame you for mistaking them for women.) You're sure it's not just U2's With Or Without You performed by a woman? Hope this helps.

I have the melody in my mind, and none of these songs fits it. That's how I know it's not the U2 song, either. Thanks for the help, though. See ya, AnnaBtG.

Perhaps you could give us a little more information. What kind of genre? R 'n' B? Pop? Country? Is there a prominent instrument? Does the singer's voice have any unusual characteristics? What radio station did you hear the song on? Was it part of a hit list on that radio station? Do you know around what time it was released?

The chorus went like this:
Ta ta taram, ta ta ta Ta ta taram, ta ta ta ta tata, With or without you [repeat pattern]
The 'with or without you' part stands out so much it would be very silly if it's not the song title, frankly. It's even sung a little differently, as if the first two lines are sung by only one person, and then another voice joins to make it stand out more.
I don't know if it's new or not - it was in the 'mellow songs' hour of a station that plays a little bit of everything. By the sound of it, I'm guessing it's probably a quite new song, maybe a couple of years old.
The genre is quite difficult to define. Mellow, but not a rock ballad, and I wouldn't call it country or R'n'B (at least, not the Beyonce-ish R'n'B). Not exactly a pop ballad, either.
(For some reason, it brings me a picture of a summer evening at a cafe by the sea... but that's hardly helpful.)
As for the voice, I'm almost sure it's feminine, but it's not the sweet-girly kind of voice - I guess you could say it's a deep voice.
I know that's not much to go with, and I knew my chances to find it were slim, but thought I'd try anyway. Thanks for the help! See ya, AnnaBtG.

Is it perhaps With Or Without You by C:Real feat. Kate? Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate either a sound clip or the lyrics, but your description may fit, plus the band is Greek. I don't understand the language, so I have no idea what this says, but it might help: http://www.musiccorner.gr/biografies/c_real.html

I haven't been able to find it so far either, but it sounds like it could be it - C:Real have done stuff like that. I'll post again if I confirm it. Thank you so much for all your help, C_A!! See ya, AnnaBtG.
