She made me think and think very hard about coming out and telling my husband about my abuse by my grandfather that pass away 4 years ago. But I'm scared to do so. So I read the story twice already and trying to find the courage to come out and tell someone besides you guys. I cry everytime. And it gets harder.

I understand the courage it takes to speak out about abuse. Please know that there are confidential rape crisis centers in your area that will listen to you - check your local phone book for contact information. I am a rape survivor. I was assaulted by a stranger when I was 14 years old, but I will spare you the details. Though I reported the attack to the police, I kept silent about it to my friends. Several months into my relationship with the man I would eventually marry, I came to realize that he couldn't understand why I behaved in certain ways or reacted to certain things because I hadn't shared my history with him. I believe that revealing my experience to him helped us grow closer. Eventually I was able to work past my feelings of being a victim and have told many people about what happened to me. Doing so has granted me a feeling of power; I have the ability to speak for those who aren't yet able to.

Take care, and I'll be thinking about you. My best friend started volunteering for our local rape crisis center, and I've been learning how scary the situations are that the center works with.

Thank you all and I told my husband once and for all.
Even though it was scary and in the end he was very understanding. And i love him for that.

Also i talk to couple of people who was also in the same sitution and they help too.

i am not saying from here on in it is all rainbows and sunshine

but sometimes in order to smell the roses, you may prick your finger on the thorns,.. in doing so just remember the roses are woth it

be strong and don;t give up
you will get there
sometimes it may be confusing
but the road to healing was never easy
