God has blessed us with Katelynn Fern . She was born at 12:45am on July 2nd, 2005. She weighed six pounds, 4 ounces(about 3kg) and was 19 inches (about 48cm) long. She was very determined to be born, once she decided to come out. Labor started at 11:55pm and if the Doula (birthing assistant) had been about 5 minutes later, I would have had to have caught the baby myself! (Talk about adrenaline rush!) The doctor arrived about 10 minutes after the birth. Elisabeth and Katelynn are doing fine, but are tired, as am I. The girls slept through the whole process. Trinity was the first to wake up, at 7:10am. The first thing she said was “Did the baby come out of your tummy?” We told her to wake up RoseMary. She went running off, bellowing “ROSEMARY! THE BABY CAME OUT OF MOMMY’S TUMMY!!!” RoseMary was less than enthusiastic about the announcement (she originally said that she would catch the baby and hand him to me.) I went in and quietly told her that the baby was here. She opened one eye, looked at me and pulled the blanket over her head. I then said that Grandpa & Grandma Smith were here as well, and she immediately jumped out of bed! I am rambling now, so I will end this. Again, we are truly blessed with a third child. James, Elisabeth, RoseMary, Trinity and now Katelynn.

Congratulations, James and Elizabeth. What a nice family!
Btw, just as an interesting coincidence, Katelynn's birthday is the same as my sister's (though, of course, 55 years later <g>). (That would be Linda Garrick, co-author of the Terran Underground series.)

James and family, congratulations on the new addition! About the picture, I noticed that when you added the link, you didn't "share" the photos, you just linked to your account. The picture cannot be accessed this way, unless we all know your login and password (which I'm sure you wouldn't want to be public).
