For those of you who are so inclined, I'd appreciate your prayers. I'm leaving in a few minutes for the hospital. My operation is today. The operation itself is supposed to be a simple procedure, but I could still use your prayers. Also, while giving me my pre-op check-up, the doctor discovered two lumps on my thyroid gland. Needless to say, that has got me worried, too! (More than the operation, to tell the truth.) Anyway, I hope to be back soon. I'll miss you guys while I'm away! Bye! - Vicki

Good luck. I will definitely be praying for you.

Thank you, everyone! I'm back (minus one gallbladder), and a bit sore but otherwise OK. I still can't sit at the computer for long lengths of time, though. Just thought I'd check in, and thank everyone for their kind words. - Vicki

You absolutely will not believe how much better you'll soon feel minus that gallbladder. I had mine removed 2 years ago and life is so much better. After an initial adjustment period, during which my body re-learned how to digest food, I have hardly any of the digestive disturbances that used to be an almost daily part of life. Take it easy. Milk that surgery for all the sympathy and pity it's worth. You'll be up and about before you know it.
